We purchased this voice recorder to replace a previous Olympus recorder. When the product arrived I put new batteries in the machine and the screen came on. I noticed it was a little difficult to operate and if someone accidentally pushed the wrong button to record it would potentially record the voice files in two different locations. The screen display is so small it was difficult to see which mode it would be recording in. After putting in the brand new batteries the recorder stopped working approximately one minute into the first recording. It showed low batteries or dead battery so we replaced the batteries again and again it would come on briefly and then flashed the battery signal again. After trying three different sets of batteries we chose to return the item.
